Born in Belgrade Yugoslavia, todays Serbia, Jasmina became a member of the prestigious Association of Designers and Artists in Serbia, where she was involved in graphic design and exhibition shows.
After moving to San Diego in 2010 she became inspired with a colorful, diverse and peaceful lifestyle, very different from her time living in downtown Belgrade. Her paintings display a softer, delicate imagery in the shade of palm trees. They remind the viewer of postcards, sending greetings to the old world. Jasmina has showed her work in Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Portugal and California.
Between pursuing a career in fashion or fine arts, her acceptance to the Faculty of Applied Arts directed her into mastering painting techniques. Most memorable being the French Cultural Center, inspired by French compositors.
She received her Master in Science degree from San Diego State University in 2016, and has regional expertise in Balkan, Post-Soviet, and Western European sociocultural issues.
